Menu for dirty weekend away

Please help me plan an easy but fancy menu for a sort of dirty weekend away. DH thinks there will be lots of sex, I'm thinking its only going to be sort of dirty as I'm midway through pregnancy!! Its not going to be boozy etc. Got a romantic cottage for me and dh, fri-mon, middle of nowhere, self catering, and nearest pub 8 miles away. Food at nearest pub not very inspiring, so will have to do cooking ourselves, and bring stuff from home. I want luxury!

My mum suggested several "Meals for 2" ie M&S Hmm but I like to think we could do better than that! Need inspiration for the whole weekend, nice breakfasts and dinners especially!

Please help! Going away for the first time without kids and before the next one (#3) arrives :o

Drop scones for breakfast. Or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.

My dad made them a lot when I was a kid, am just re-discovering them now!

Apart from that I'm a bit short of ideas tonight. Will pop back if inspiration strikes.

Of course, if you're on a "dirty" weekend then the traditionals like oysters could work (I don't like them though!).

Are you looking for special things to cook, things that look special but don't take long, or quick and easy?

Squiggle thank you!! I want all of those things, easy but special. I guess I mean mostly, easy to cook, but very yummy. Was thinking of having a nice steak dinner, but then got a bit stuck! I need to think of 3 breakfasts, and some extra nice dinners with pudding!

I am pregnant though so the thought of oysters don't really appeal!! bleugh!

Firstly - lucky you! Have a wonderful time together, it sounds lovely.

Breakfasts - american pancakes, maple syrup and crispy bacon (salty and sweet works so well together). As Squiggle said, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon vv nice. Eggs benadict - toasted muffin, piece of really good ham, poached egg (personally think that good fresh eggs with runny yolk is ok when pregnant but each to their own) smothered in hollandaise sauce, cheat or make your own. Or cinnamon french toast.

Steak dinner is always lovely. We always like a picky dinner if we are feeling romantic, with nice cold meats, cheeses/pickles etc, olives, fish pate (as meat pate is off the menu but again, personally I think things in moderation when pregnant are ok), roasted peppers, crab (can buy it fresh cooked and vacpacked from Ocado with mayo, lime juice, chilli and corriander) on a bit of toasted bread. Chicken and or veal (it's ok if it's British rose veal) meatballs with parsley and lemon zest in, in a really lovely creamy garlicy mushroomy sauce with pasta. Use some re-hydrated dry procini in the sauce to make it extra luxurious.
