slow cooker's

sorry in advance as i am sure there have been threads on this before but what size slow cooker would people recommend for a family of four, i know it is economical to get a bigger one and freeze excess however i only have a small freezer compartment at the top of my fridge so want a smaller one so there is no waste iyswim

If you've no freezer space, then i'd got for a 3.5ltr one.
