8 adults & 4 kids. Just arranged today for thursday evening. Not enough time to do a buffet. What to cook for mains? Will do Eton mess & banoffee pie for pudding as they are easy assemble.Welcome all ideas

In Scotland & torrential rain forecast for next 5 days otherwise would BBQ.
A big lasagne/chilli/curry?Chicken or steak pie?Whole salmon?Roast chicken, roast ham and salads?
Jamie's lemon and basil chicken?
In the past I've done a hot buffet for winter parties. Big casserole dish of chicken or chickpea curry. Another big casserole dish of chilli. Big pot of rice. Dalek bread, lots of salad.... seemed to keep everyone quiet.
Thanks folks. Gone for chilli, tacos, chicken fajitas with salsa & guacamole.
