I've run out of butter and don't fancy the trek to the shops. Can I use it to make chocolate frosting?TIA

If you like the taste of it spread thickly on toast, you'd probably like it as buttercream icing. I don't see why you wouldn't.
I would, and have. Unless you're serving it to cake connoisseurs no-one will guess.
Bugger! No icing sugar either. Out ti the shops it is. MUST learn to check ingredients before I start!
