I will be making apple and damson jam tonight before its too late and the damsons are past there best. I love making preserves too, although I am obsessed with cooking in general not just jam Green tomato and chilli chutney is my fave, always make it in sept/oct when tomato plants are dying off. Yummy with blue cheese and crusty bread! Oh and half a pint of ale
I have lots of red onions from the garden so going to try caramelised onion chutney. Green tomato chutney is still on the go from last year when it was too cold for my tomatoes to ripen. Homemade chutney is far superior to shop bought IMO - yummy!
