How the actual fusilli did I attract QueenUnCarber onto my patsa thread?

SecretNutellaFix Mon 25-Jul-11 22:07:18

Pasta and bake should not be used in the same sentence.

<sends Chaos to the naughty corner>

ChaosTrulyReigns Mon 25-Jul-11 22:09:11

Hey I've been upfront.

I've not hidden my shameful scoffery.

[too macaroni honest for my own good]

SecretNutellaFix Mon 25-Jul-11 22:10:51

I suppose it could have been much worse.

You could have included Tuna in there.

Ok, you can come out from the naughty corner now.grin

Tortington Mon 25-Jul-11 22:12:05

it said food and shame and well....thats how i opened the thread.

had it said homepride and pasta - i'd have stayed well clear

SecretNutellaFix Mon 25-Jul-11 22:15:09

Do you have a bell for her, Custy, so she can ring it and shout "unclean" on every thread she goes on?

ChaosTrulyReigns Mon 25-Jul-11 22:15:33

Cmon then CMNS, what baaadass food doya get down and dirty with then?

<<make me fell betterer>>

purplepidjin Mon 25-Jul-11 22:16:00

melt knob of butter, stir in tablespoon of flour so it looks like puke, add milk a splash at a time and keep stirring. Handful of cheese, possibly some veg if you're feeling healthy.

Fry off onions, add herbs, tin of tomatoes, veg and tbsp tomato puree. Simmer for 30 mins

skint pidj can't afford posh ready made sauces

ChaosTrulyReigns Mon 25-Jul-11 22:16:25

SNF, that's rotten.

You meanie.

<<sheds skin>>

ChaosTrulyReigns Mon 25-Jul-11 22:17:15

How big's your knob purplep?

Alibabaandthe80nappies Mon 25-Jul-11 22:18:23

I love pasta bake. Never understood why people are snooty about lasagne grin

I have a lovely recipe for a tuna one, which involves cream of celery soup and a packet of crisps from a student cookbook.

SecretNutellaFix Mon 25-Jul-11 22:18:46

You like me really!wink

SecretNutellaFix Mon 25-Jul-11 22:20:01

lasagne is not a pasta bake.
Pasta bake is rank. Lasagne is perfect.
Lasagne you start off to create. Pasta bake is leftovers.

Tortington Mon 25-Jul-11 22:22:07

yes yes what she said

<hangs bell round chaos' neck>

purplepidjin Mon 25-Jul-11 22:22:30

About 2oz although DP swears its nearer 4

sancerrre Mon 25-Jul-11 22:23:03

I love a pasta bake. Is much tastier if you call it penne al forno though. Can't go wrong with bunging in some ricotta cheese and a tin of tomatoes.

DH has just started putting crisps on top of everything baked alibaba and he was never a student. Will have to tell him its a student thing so that he stops.

Alibabaandthe80nappies Mon 25-Jul-11 22:24:38

You can create pasta bake too from Homepride

Hassled Mon 25-Jul-11 22:26:07

I used to do a pasta bake type thing which involved a tin of Campbell's mushroom soup and tuna. It was damn good. I might resurrect it.

Alibabaandthe80nappies Mon 25-Jul-11 22:26:15

I've never understood the crisp thing really, unless the thinking is that a bag of crisps is cheaper than cheese?

bellavita Mon 25-Jul-11 22:27:18

Chaos shock really? Pasta bake sauces? shock. You with the swishy hair n everything...

Tuppenyrice Mon 25-Jul-11 22:29:21

Tuna pasta bake is the SHIZZLE grin

Valpollicella Mon 25-Jul-11 22:32:12

I might have to disown you now Chaos...

Sure, pasta sauce in a jar has it's place (on the shelf).

I'll have to write you out a Nonna special sauce recipe
