They've got a £13.70 pack of Fairy non-bio washing powder for £8 atm (or did last week).

Ooh, I have a voucher too. Been staring at it for weeks. Too scared to leap in and navigate a new site - how pathetic is that?!

They're meant to be brilliant.

Love Ocado, just go round the kitchen with my iPhone snapping the barcodes of things I'm running out of! There's no special things I get beyond what's available at waitrose.

SardineQueen Sun 10-Jul-11 20:20:32

if it's your sort of thing this dressed layered crab is v nice. With brown bread as a light supper. Yum! And it feels v luxurious without breaking the bank IYSWIM.

What sort of foods do you like?

oh i know what else is v nice is their pizzeria range of pizzas, i think they have won awards, they are gorgeous (well the plain one is, I top it myself, haven't tried the others!).

SardineQueen Sun 10-Jul-11 20:22:11

Get one of their steaks and have it with the most expensive chips in the world and this sauce. And some big field mushrooms. <salivates>

SardineQueen Sun 10-Jul-11 20:22:50

I don't work for them BTW I'm just greedy grin

Have a friend who does work for them and she swears by the basic's range.

SardineQueen Sun 10-Jul-11 20:36:24

The fresh stuff is all pretty good. I like that they have reviews on there with star ratings. Not sure if other ones have that or not.

Don't forget the "service counter" stuff as well! We quite like this pork joint stuffed with sage and onion.

follyfoot Sun 10-Jul-11 20:43:28

The individually packed frozen chicken breasts (when on offer)

Frozen mixed grilled veg

Fresh chicken breast chunks - always on special offer at £7 for two

Tomatoes

Cheese definitely especially Caerphilly Gorwydd

Cirio tinned tomatoes

Stapleton gooseberry yoghurt (best yoghurt ever)

Breads

Fish/meat (according to the others in our house) from the 'counter'

Fresh meatballs

Sliced cooked chicken

The 'easy to cook' range

(other than that, not much really grin )

Adair Sun 10-Jul-11 20:43:50

sausages! much, much better than sains - much less fat...

bibbitybobbityhat Sun 10-Jul-11 21:11:29

Melt in the middle fishcakes

Rocks organic lime squash

All the luxuries, really: deli stuff, olives, salmon en croute, handwash, shower gel.

And the basics: basmati rice, tinned tomatoes, pasta: excellent.

And before you check out they show you how you could "switch and save" by suggesting slightly cheaper alternatives of basically the same produce. They sometimes persuade me with those smile.

I have done it grin

Bloody bastarding voucher had run out though shock

But I had another one grin

But it had a minimum spend of £75 sad

So I stuck in another couple of items, including the infamous bottom butter.

Still got a week's worth of food for £60, and I will have the smoothest bottom skin on the planet grin

What is bottom butter confused

Where do you get these vouchers from?

PrettyCandles Tue 12-Jul-11 09:58:49

Ocado's own-brand mature cheddar is very nice (currently our favourite).

Most of the Waitrose own-brand stuff is good. Their minced-beef products (meatballs, burgers etc) are definitely good. Their premium sausages are also good, we particularly like the lamb chipolatas.
