what are you eating this week?

had to make some changes, but so far,

yesterday made some bbq sauce and put on chicken wings, (as r very cheap) with new potatos and corn on the cob, and salad.

today. macroni cheese with mushroom , onions and bacon.

slow roasted chicken with olive oil and garlic, served with warm crusty bread and salad.

oven baked fish (on offer of course) with veg rissoto.

veggie curry and brown rice.
for kids who hate curry, pizza and oven chips.

am really finding it difficult to think of different meals to cook, and am getting fed up with the cost of feeding a family of 6, with 4 teens!

would love to see anyones ideas for more interesting meals!

today - oven on, and still awaiting inspiration. Sorry, not much help is it!

Family of four here Dc's are 11 and 7 , but 11 year old eats like a teen already!

Yesterday ; Sweet and sour chicken and stirfried vegetable and egg fried rice and prawn crackers (chicken left over from Sunday roast )

Today: Homemade burgers, chips, onion rings and coleslaw

Oven Baked Fish, cous cous and salad and crusty bread

Chilli con Carne and Rice with Tortillas

Smoked Bacon and Cherry Tomato Oven Baked Risotto and crusty bread.

At the moment we're managing to keep our weekly shopping bill at under £50 a weeksmile

today for me....tortilla wraps with marmalade and then marmite in them....

tea /coffee
OJ

Last night DS had pork casserole ready made
Blackcurrant cheesecake (his favourtie)
tons of fullcream milk (as usual) and a packet of hoola hoops!!

Monday: chicken stir fry (onions, courgettes, garlic, peppers) with rice.
Tuesday: Pizza, chips and sugar snap peas (weird, but we like it!)
Wed: Pork chops, small roast tats, roasted carrots and mange tout
Thurs: Probably bacon, fried onions, baked beans, boiled potatoes and mushrooms.
Fri: We go to my mum's and she cooks! Yay!!

Yesterday - macaroni cheese and peas;
Today - Thai veggie curry with rice and a Thai-style mango and cashew nut salad;
Weds - veggie burgers in buns with lots of salad and corn on the cob;
Thurs - butternut squash, chickpea and spinach curry with garlic pittas;
Friday - I may go out but if not it will probably be veggie chilli or pasta of some sort

Last night was very lazy and went down the road for tapas - clams, prawns and paella.

Tonight: teriyaki chicken and sticky sushi rice

Wednesday: chicken or prawn fajitas

Thursday: Spaghetti Bolognaise

Friday: Crab and sweetcorn quesadillas

Saturday: probably make pizzas or jacket potatoes and salady stuff

Sunday: DD2 flies out with nine friends so doing a big BBQ for them all with various bits of seafood/chicken/ribs etc

Yesterday lunch: bagel with cream cheese, crisps, cup of tea. Dinner: random wilted veg spring vegetable risotto.
Today lunch: Pret New Yorker sarnie (am addicted), Thorntons mint choc bar. Dinner: probably some broccoli, walnut and blue-cheese concoction.
Haven't thought any further ahead, but I see another random risotto on the horizon!

Thurs: Picnic out
Friday: Fish pie
Sat: Parmesan chicken for DC, curry for DH and I
Sun: Shepherds Tacos
Mon: Eggs - dippy and omelette

Thursday - In need of inspiration
Friday - Fish and chips (that new youngs gastro stuff is surprisingly good)
Saturday - Curry
Sunday - Chicken Dinner

Monday - Panfried tuna pork for DH and DD) with rice and grilled vegetables.

Tuesday - DD has spinach dal with chicken; Me and Dh had mixed grilled fish/prawns with oven baked wedges and salad

Wednesdy - DD is cooking hotdogs for her tea over a fire fwith Brownies. Me and Dh - terayaki salmon with rice noodles

Thursday - me and DH are out at a corporate thingy with drinks and canapes; DD has a friend coming and they are having pizza

Friday - out at a wedding party so will be eating buffet food

Fri: some sort of lamb steak/ pitta bread extravaganza
Can't think much further ahead than that!

Will also be nicking babyocho's pasta with bacon and peas and your chicken wings with BBQ sauce, OP, as starting points for next week's meals. It's good to hear some new ideas.

Mon: pasta with tinned salmon, cream and peas
Tues: bacon, goat's cheese, spinach and mushroom pie (homemade filling, jusrol pastry), baked beans, bread and butter
Weds: Macaroni cheese inc carrots, peas and sweetcorn (not that different from Mon but was at my sister's)
Thurs: Quorn sausages, sweet potato mash, green beans
Fri: lasagne
