I made some choc chip cookies last week that were yummy, so I'm going to make some other 'flavours' - what would you recommend and do you have a recipe? Not nuts though, can only think of Ginger.

Cinnamon and sultanas. Recipe as for chic chip, but add cinnamon and swap sultanas for the chocolate.

Hi, here is a recipe I that was shared on this website by another visitor
shortbread cookie recipe

you will need the ingredients below to make 12 to 18 cookies.

100g All Purpose Flour

50g Rice Flour

100g Butter

50g Superfine Sugar

Coating : Dusting of Rice Flour

Sift the flour and rice flour into a bowl. Cut the butter into small pieces and rub into the flour mixture with the tips of your fingers.

Add the sugar and knead very well until the mixture binds together.

Lightly grease a baking sheet and dust your cookie cutter with a little rice flour.

We use different shaped cookie cutters, sometimes cars, animals, flowers and shapes.

Press the shortbread into a round and cut your cookies out until all the cookie dough has been used up.

Bake in the center of a cool to moderate oven (150-160C/300-325F/Gas 2-3) for 30 minutes or until firm to the touch.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet.

To make the caramel variation I buy some ready made caramel sauce from my local store and let the kids sprad some over their cookies when they have cooled, we also melt some chocolate and pour this over the top allowing the chocolate to cool before we eat them...these are extra special
