Can anyone suggest a chocolate fondue recipie for DD (9yo) party.
I know chocolate fountains are popular but I honestly can't be bothered with the hassle
I'm thinking about chocolate/cream/syrup kept warm on my heated buffet thing( its got 3 heat settings) in a pyrex bowl.
And to dip in -strawberries,marshmallows,pieces of pineapple, little square of cake.

Any ideas will be gratefully received.

Even "Don't do it you mad bat, give them jelly!"

I've got a recipe somewhere with melted mars bars & cream, easy & yummy. Cos it's so rich, you can actually have some quite plain things to dip in, e.g. rich tea fingers, even breadsticks.

We had a chocolate fountain at a work function the other day. It was tasty but so messy it was unreal. If a bunch of lawyers can manage to smear themselves and the boardroom carpet liberally with chocolate, I can only imagine what a bunch of 9 year olds hopped up on sugar and party nerves will do to themselves, each other, you, your house etc...

You are a braver woman than me!!

i think chocolate cream and a bit of butter should be fine.

For dipping:

  • strawberries
  • pears
  • raspberries
  • marshmallows
  • amaretti biscuits (maybe more for the adults!)
  • those cigarello type wafer biscuits
