I want to make lemon drizzle fairy cakes

but I can't find a recipe. I've found muffin recipes, but don't have any muffin cases. Does that matter? Or can I make them straight in to the tin?

I tried to make these and all the lemon drizzle slid off! If you could make flat fairy cakes like the fabulous baking boys ones I suppose it would work, but mine always rise.

i just adapt a basic fairy cake mixture but add some grated zest and some lemon juice. for the topping i make a thick glaze using icing sugar and lemon juice, it doesn't run off as easily.
