Thank you and surprisingly for me I do have natural yoghurt - chilli has another hour to cook, do I put it in now or B4 I serve?

notapizzaeater Thu 06-Jan-11 17:47:57

a splash of vinegar will take away the nippyness of the chilli but leave the taste

Does the potato thing that you do with too much salt work with too much chilli?

OhYouBadBadKitten Thu 06-Jan-11 18:18:58

You are my kind of person Stationarypawn!

ketchup - adds a nice sweet flavour,
plus cocoa powder
and of course yoghurt

I had a thread with the same problem the other day. The potato thing works.

melezka Thu 06-Jan-11 18:29:40

Good to know!

BertieBotts Thu 06-Jan-11 18:35:48

Yes do the potato thing. But also serve with natural yoghurt and let everyone add their own to taste. (Mix DC's for them if young)

What is the potato thing I missed it and have just cooked a red hot chilli!

Noregrets25 Tue 13-Mar-18 15:25:13

Chuck in a can of chopped toms, keep cooking it will reduce and be less spicy! Get some sour cream to have on the side!

Tinks9537 Tue 13-Mar-18 15:40:18

What is the potato thing please

BlackForestCake Tue 13-Mar-18 23:34:09

Add another can of beans

Clevs Thu 15-Mar-18 03:56:56

Sour cream will help with the heat!
