Sugar will help cool it down

a splash of vinegar will take away the nippyness of the chilli but leave the taste

Does the potato thing that you do with too much salt work with too much chilli?

ketchup - adds a nice sweet flavour,
plus cocoa powder
and of course yoghurt

I had a thread with the same problem the other day. The potato thing works.

Yes do the potato thing. But also serve with natural yoghurt and let everyone add their own to taste. (Mix DC's for them if young)

What is the potato thing I missed it and have just cooked a red hot chilli!

Chuck in a can of chopped toms, keep cooking it will reduce and be less spicy! Get some sour cream to have on the side!
