New Years Eve Dinner - any ideas?

I've invited a couple of families over for New Years Eve and I'm struggling to think what to cook and would love some ideas. Not sure whether to opt for party food or a big sit down meal and DP is not offering any suggestions!

What are you all doing?

How about a couple of curries, rice, bread, mint salad etc?

Or chillis, rice, tortillas, guacamole etc?

Fish and chips? You could fry fish first and re heat in oven, make chips at the time.

Thanks all - I think I'm going to do a mexican themed night for them. I've brought some party nibbles to keep them going while I cook and then I'm going to serve fajitas with chicken or beef, tacos, enchiladas, potato wedges, nachos and rice with dips and salad and they can just help themselves and follow with a Nigella's yummy chocolate cloud cake - hope that will be okay. (I'm hopefully buying Nigella's new cook book today so may change my mind when I've seen it!)
