Slow Cooker Question

Does anyone know if I can cook a rolled belly of pork in the slow cooker?

If it can be done, what do I do about crackling?

You wouldn't be able to do the crackling so you'd probably be best taking that off, salting it and putting it in a hot oven.

The pork belly'd be lush in some stock, cider, black prepper and salt and fennel seeds...nyom, nyom.

That sounds fabulous. Would you take the crackling off before or after cooking the joint?

And about 6 hours on medium, would that work?

I love my slowcooker but only really do stews curries and soup in it.

I would take it off before as the cut (belly) wil have quite a bit of fat on it anyway grin

Right, I have skinned it, crackling is in the fridge ready for later.

It's on Medium heat, no cider so just a bit of vegetable stock.

Thanks for your help, wish me luck!

have you got a bit of wine or some apple juice, you probably need something a bit acidic in there too- cook it for ages it'll be yummers!
