A few weeks ago I attended Shipton Mill (near Stroud, Glos) for a full days bakery course. I had put my name down back in the summer - only 5 people per session so luckily I replied quickly and both me and a friend went.
How professional was it? it was stupendous! Clive is a pure master baker who has travelled around the world studying breads. We made cottage loaf, pitta breads, plaited loaf & chelsea buns. Lunch time we were fed very well. Had an extremely interesting mill tour. Leslie looked after us, plenty of refreshments, constant washing up and clearing up.
It was such a breath of fresh air to go on a course that was so informative, no sales pressure and all of us treated like gods and not cost a penny!!! This is what you get from a great british family run company!
