help - how to thicken custard

made custard for s Delia trifle- it's now cooling and is thickish but still pourable- want it to get more to that ambrosia custard thickness- any tips?

is it birds powder or real with eggs?

if real with eggs you could add another egg and reheat
if with custard powder mix a teaspoon more powder with a very little milk and whisk that in and heat it up
or similarly just mix some cornflour with a little water/milk and add that

thanks for answers yesterday. used an extra egg and bit of cornflour and was fine
