Hodge Jones & Allen Solicitors are looking to recruit a full-time/part-time Court of Protection Paralegal for our Private Client Team. Part-time hours are 21 per week.
The role will involve paralegal work including phone calls to clients and third parties, dealing with utility companies, insurance companies and landlords, completing annual reports on cases, applying for benefits, research, ordering items, arranging insurance and dealing with general correspondence.
You will need to have administrative and literacy skills. You will be very methodical, have good time management skills and be able to work on your own initiative. In addition, you will need to be able to keep track of all the requests that the team send on a daily basis, so that none are overlooked and then prioritise which tasks need to be done urgently.
You will be part of a busy team, which will involve you dealing with people at all levels, therefore excellent communications skills are essential.
Good computer skills, previous administrative experience, as well as excellent attention to detail are essential, as well as being able to work to tight deadlines.
