so i have a 190l juwel trigon; home to a rescued bala, pleco of unknown variety and lone neon tetra, along with my choice of silvertip tetras, and m. praecox.

bearing in mind the potential bloodbath if the bala gets much bigger in there before i can re home him, would you risk any more neons to make the lonely little fella a bit more at home?

Weeell, they are normally peaceful and smaller fish wouldn't normally make up a big part of their diet BUT if a neon was to swim right past their mouth then they might go for it. If you're planning to rehome the shark then I'd wait until he's moved out before you get any snack-sized fish.

i'm trying to re home him, not getting far Sad

i just didn't want any more fish to become snacks because i've read that they might be tempted.

grrrrr! starting to wish i'd not taken them on now but it was miles better than the alternative dd's friend's mum suggested Sad Sad

Lucy I am bidding on one of those on ebay - a corner one. is it a nice tank?

yeah i love mine Smile

can be a bit awkward to get right under the filter for water change/gravel vac, and right to the bottom if you're a short arse like me though Grin

and every time we have a power cut the impellor for the filter cuts out (but i think that's just a quirk of mine). luckily i'm usually here to sort it straight away.

forgot to say, the shape might not suit some fish. i love the look of the striped humbug catfish but because of it being the 'small' trigon Hmm i have couldn't put one in from what i've read.

our adopted (for now) pleco likes to hide under the filter too

Fab thanks...can't wait.

Nope not a short arse and we don't often get power cuts so fingers crossed it will be ok.

I am putting cold water fish in there - just goldfish, hopefully will be ok for them.

Fancy goldfish should be fine in that shaped tank, they are not territorial and they don't need loads of swimming space.
