I have just seen this film advertised on tv and the clips seemed to show excerpts from throughout the HBP. I thought they were going to make 2 films out of this book, but it seems they have shoved it all into one film. Does anyone know if this is true?

It's Deathly Hallows that is going to be split in two. HBP is all in one .

it's deathly hallows that's been split- too much content would have been lost otherwise, I think.

Oh right ok. I don't know why but I thought they were making 2 films out of both of the last 2 books.

I had forgotten it was about to be released. I have something to look forward to now!

I'm thinking the ending might be hard for you, DumbledoresGirl .

Well it would be if anyone other than Michael Gambon were playing the part. As it is, I might be cheering Snape on.

I'm sure I'll be sobbing at the end.

I am really excited as well, more so than the boys I think

Although we think this time ds2 is going to have to skip seeing this at the cinema.

Oh how I love Snape

I enjoyed it - of course they loads out, they always do in films but my ds2,3 and 4 enjoyed it and none of them have read that book (or maybe ds3 has, not certain) so they could easily follow the plot.

Saw it last night and couldn't help but feel very letdown. This was my favourite book out of the 7 too

Seemed to focus more on the ginny/harry and ron/hermione storylines more than anything else.

Same here- very let down. As other posters have said they left out lots of relevant info from the book (particularly in the build up to finding out who the Half Blood prince actually was) and the whole film had a rather disjointed feel to it. Had I not read the book I think I would have been rather confused.
