My two year old is heavily into Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, so fave songs are Lets Go Fly a Kite and Doll on a Music box. We watched The Wizard of Oz which went down quite well at the weekend too.

I love Meet Me In St Louis. I watched it a few years ago at uni when we were studying Mis en Scene and I adored it. Makes me feel all Xmassy even though its a year in the familys life, not just Xmas. Plus I love Judy Garland.

I love Defying Gravity from Wicked, but also Popular and What Is this Feeling?

On My Own, Les Mis.

Theres a Fine, Fine Line from Avenue Q. And Fantasies Come True, Mixed Tape, My GF who Lives in Canada...ok most!

Pretty much every part of Joseph!

I do love a good warble along to a musical song!

angelene Tue 09-Jun-09 21:33:01

All of Mary Poppins from the film, and also Anything Can Happen if you Let It, Temper Temper and 'the one with the bad nanny' from the stage show - since seeing it at the beginning of April DD is still obsessed and insists on listening to it in the car constantly.

America from WSS

We Could Have Been Anything That We Wanted To Be from Bugsy Malone - the last, end of the disco song at our wedding.

Getcha Head in the Game and We're All in This Together from HSM1.

Nothing from any ALW musical as they are really very unmemorable!

Ewe Tue 09-Jun-09 21:45:09

All of Sweeney Todd, especially By The Sea.

Pretty much anything by Sondheim to be honest, love Sunday in the park with George and Into the woods is a favourite, Agony, Your Fault and Into the Woods are the best songs.

Agree with Defying Gravity from Wicked fantastic song and great to belt out whilst doing housework.

Gah, I could go on and on. LOVE musicals.

PortBlacksandResident Tue 09-Jun-09 21:53:36

I'm not a 'musicals' fan, mostly i'm an 'i'd rather eat my own eyeballs' kind of a gal.

Anything from Singin' in the Rain basically.

Fit as a Fiddle
Good Mornin'
Make 'em laugh
& of course
Singin' in the Rain

<sighs then grimaces in a Donald O'Connor sort of way>

aurynne Sun 02-Aug-09 08:48:02

"Dancer in the dark", from Lars von Trier. Not the typical happy-go-lucky musical, though. Only for strong viewers! (beautiful movie though)
