And the lead was excellent, though played waaay older than 16, nevertheless, very good.

I hated all the wisecracking - it just felt depressing and superficial to me!

BlueberryBeret Wed 27-Aug-08 00:34:31

I've still not seen it - she is amazing though, Hard Candy was excellent

BitOfFun Wed 27-Aug-08 00:36:14

Loved HardCandy tho, definitely!

S1ur Wed 27-Aug-08 00:37:52

Ooh I liked it, not seen hardcandy. Liked the script though some of it lost on me [old fogey emoticon]

BlueberryBeret Wed 27-Aug-08 00:40:16

You MUST see hard candy. I squirmed a lot though. DH squirmed more grin

S1ur Wed 27-Aug-08 00:52:01

I loved Juno
Loved the music...found myself looking up the music in the credits.

<<off to see if there is a soundtrack>>

S1ur Wed 27-Aug-08 01:00:24

Dammit yes yes yes.

The SOUNDTRACK was superb and I also searched it and it is available.

ghosty Wed 27-Aug-08 01:02:23

I loved it too. I love the soundtrack. Best film I have seen in ages. smile

purpleduck Wed 27-Aug-08 01:10:07

I actually didn't look to see if there was a soundtrack, but may have to pick it up soon.

Do you ever go through phases where no new music is any good, then all of a sudden you want to listen to tons of new music...?

Pan Wed 27-Aug-08 01:14:36

yes, excellent me thoughts too.

and lovely tracks....

Juno was great! But lots of people said she reminded them of me shock !
The sound track was amaaaaaaaaazing! Dont you think that band Noah and the Whales remind you of the soundtrack? ( went to see them in edinburgh because they shared ds name lol)
Hard Candy was great to! Scary though, i was studying photography when i saw it.

Pan Wed 27-Aug-08 01:20:05

yes, from the Velvet Underground. Remember it from teenage days - it was out some time mid-70s. Not heard for decades, then POW! there it is in this wonderful film.

purpleduck Wed 27-Aug-08 01:26:20

i like this one

Although I originally thought it said "i'd want you to SHAVE me" which I guess doesn't make sense

Pan Wed 27-Aug-08 01:29:03

I'm sticking with you

S1ur Wed 27-Aug-08 01:31:14

I love them. ALL.

Oh quick aside question, what style do some of these fall under? kinda folky country sort of thing???

Pan Wed 27-Aug-08 01:33:22

I guess so though I did think the VU were more of a rock/NY punk band of the time. But I've been wrong before. Just the once.

purpleduck Wed 27-Aug-08 01:34:54

bluegrass..?

S1ur Wed 27-Aug-08 01:36:01

heh, you wrong shock surely not! was it about baking????

well yes VU I have. But what is track they sing to each other at end?

Hang on I'll google.

S1ur Wed 27-Aug-08 01:36:44

Yes I wondered bluegrass but its a bit ewrm, slow? maybe?

S1ur Wed 27-Aug-08 01:38:24

anyone else but you

moldy peaches

Pan Wed 27-Aug-08 01:39:40

quick question. What do you do when a woman appears to changge her mind for no apparent reason and isn't up for explaining it really. Does one 1. badger her, or 2. play it cool. It's vexing me.
