Saw it last night in a packed cinema. The first film I have seen in Aberdeen where the audience applauded at the end!

Really enjoyed it. Great fun, but Pierce Brosnan really CAN NOT sing. Meryl Streep, however, was excellent.

PestoMonster Fri 11-Jul-08 20:08:45

I think it's a PG.

OneLieIn Fri 11-Jul-08 20:10:37

You know its a PG - can my 8 year old go? Is there swearing / sex etc?

OneLieIn Fri 11-Jul-08 20:11:02

Tnoog Fri 11-Jul-08 20:13:15

I'm going to see this on sunday evening with a couple of friends and can't wait.

It'll be a hoot.

DustyTV Fri 11-Jul-08 20:15:53

Saw most of it yesterday on the baby screen at my local cinema. I didn't think much to it TBH. Although I would like to see the end just to find out whatb was what, but had to leave early as DD screamed cried so much.

TillyScoutsmum Fri 11-Jul-08 20:17:55

Going to the pics tomorrow - I want to see this, friend wants to see Sex & The City

I'm a charge of sorting it and unfortunately, I don't think any of our local ones are still showing SATC wink

Whizzz Fri 11-Jul-08 20:22:06

Is it as good as seeing it at the theatre though ??

ProfessorGrammaticus Fri 11-Jul-08 22:33:01

Yes, everything the Guardian says is true but it was still FAB!! I haven't laughed so much in ages, including some very unladylike snorting and guffawing blush

I went with really low expectations, because even though I have a soft spot for Abba I hate musicals - but I really really enjoyed it.

ProfessorGrammaticus Fri 11-Jul-08 22:34:19

Particularly the lovely young men in the dance scenes - BUNS OF STEEL!!!
