Apparently it's the best film the critics have seen this year [according to my BIL]

my ds aged 8 is desperate to go - is it suitable for 8 year olds? (he does watch the series).

Well, I took mine . I was rather less sure of the suitability of some of the trailers for other films, mind... Still, if you have a boy he's not going to want to see Bratz, I wouldn't have thought.

is it suitable for 4 yr olds??

We've seen it. It was good fun. Just like an extra-long episode of the telly version. Not sure about a 4 year old, but my 8 year old loves it.
Was quite slight. Enjoyable for all the quick-fire jokes, though.

Also wondering if it is suitable for 3/4yr olds. Ds is nearly 4 and has asked to go and see this but he has never been the pictures.

Not the best first-time cinema trip for a 4 year old I'd think.

My DS(13) and friends saw it yesterday and said it was "cool and wicked". They said some of the jokes were not suitable for younger children, (Or could that be just to annoy his 8 yr old sister, who loves the episodes and wants to see the film?)

Think Ratatouille would be good for a first time trip to the cinema? DD's (3.5) was Shrek 3 and she loved it. She also enjoyed Surf's Up.
