How good is this film.

Cringingly accurate ( I'm an observer here, obvs) as in my 60s. But my DD at this age is still memorable. Elsie Fisher and Josh Hamilton so very good as father and daughter. I'm a teacher, and loved the lame sincerity of their portrayal in this film, not cruel, but sooooo lame.

The small audience at the cinema I was in was evenly divided between 60+ and 20s, all seeking a good film and an escape from a 42 degree day. Lots of laughs of recognition at situations and (without spoiling), you could have dropped pin when Kayla was in the car with the boy. Everyone but everyone was emoting hope, I swear.

Music was very good too.

Tip-top.
