Thinking something beyond the usual kids films, maybe a chick flick kind of a thing but not too grown up iyswim. Loves goonies and karate kid just thinking something else.

My 9 year old loved the new Mummy film. Would she enjoy that?

Paddington. Perfect for all ages.

Hugo

The hunt for the wilder people is ace-think it would work

ItchySeveredFoot Sat 25-Nov-17 20:52:07

I went to see A Knight's Tale at the cinema with my mum and sister when I was 11. We all loved it.

My dd loves clueless but she is 12. A little sex talk but it goes over her head I think.
They enjoyed back to the future, ET,
She liked sleepless in Seattle and big too if it's a romance you want. They are both pretty clean.

Nim's Island
Swallows and Amazons

What about 13 going on 30?

madeyemoodysmum Sat 25-Nov-17 20:53:53

Also she loves father of the bride and father of the bride 2.

shakemysilliesout Sat 25-Nov-17 20:54:16

I also loved while you were sleeping from a young age

shakemysilliesout Sat 25-Nov-17 20:54:53

I love father of the bride

TwoBlueFish Sat 25-Nov-17 20:55:08

Night at The Museum, Gulliver, Back to the Future, Princess Bride

BattleaxeGalactica Sat 25-Nov-17 20:57:18

Going back a bit but I seem to recall Thunderpants and Flubber videos (!) going down a storm.

Pattyandbump Sat 25-Nov-17 20:57:22

I second 13 going on 30, a few sexual references but otherwise perfect for that age!

Piffpaffpoff Sat 25-Nov-17 21:00:14

My 9yo love Ferris Buellers Day off. The slightly adult elements go right over her head!

JoyceDivision Sat 25-Nov-17 21:01:15

Hunt for the wilder people is ace!

And Sam Neill is very foxy in it blush

keeponkeepinon Sat 25-Nov-17 21:01:18

Wow speedy response! Think we're going to try swallows and Amazon's.
I'll look up 13 going on 30 too.

andantecantabile Sat 25-Nov-17 21:02:49

I also came here to say Hunt for the Wilderpeople.

We’re watching Avengers Assemble right now but watched Hidden Figures 2 weeks ago. We watched the Twilight Trilogy over the week’s before that.

Doilooklikeatourist Sat 25-Nov-17 21:04:42

Pitch perfect
Mamma Mia

gybegirl Sat 25-Nov-17 21:04:56

Hidden Figures is more grown up, but totally, wonderfully, fabulous.

BarchesterFlowers Sat 25-Nov-17 21:05:38

Arrival and Hidden Figures are recent films that have gone down well here (11). Not chick flicks though but we all loved them.

DullAndOld Sat 25-Nov-17 21:05:57

The Blues Brothers

MustRememberTheLInFingerling Sat 25-Nov-17 21:06:15

I’m just asking them now - Bill and Ted were a hit too plus the Pirates of the Carribean films.

(my older dc love sharing the favourites with dc3 and will no doubt do it again with dc4 grin). Dc3 was 11 at the start of November.
