I'm very late to the party, but would really like to watch this film & chat about it afterwards. Any takers?

Loved book and film. Found them very different in tone.

OOh thanks, both. I might hold off for a few days then, whiterose It sounds like it might be very emotional. Will need some handholding as I'm feeling delicate right now!

I loved both film and book. In the film there is a sense of closure. The book is more open ended. I love both the two men in her life. They’re so lovely. As is she. I saw the film twice in 2 days I loved it so much. Ive seen it a few more times since and I still cry. Every time!

I've had the book for months and not yet read it (I have about 12 years of reading material to wade through and keep adding to it . . . ). I might read it when I'm finished the one I'm on and then if there is a discussion, I can join in.

For me it was that rare case of the film being better than the book.
Both excellent though, loved them.
