Just curious if I'm likely to enjoy if a HP fan.

LauraPalmersBodybag Wed 08-Mar-17 21:08:03

Nope. It's awful

FreeNiki Wed 08-Mar-17 21:08:43

I liked it. But then I am not a HP fan.

SweetChickadee Wed 08-Mar-17 21:09:03

I liked it very much and I preferred it to HP.

FreeNiki Wed 08-Mar-17 21:18:04

The acting is far better than the abysmal Daniel, Emma and Rupert et al too.

TrinityForce Wed 08-Mar-17 21:19:41

Massive HP fan here.

Lovely movie.

BurnTheBlackSuit Wed 08-Mar-17 21:21:32

No, it was awful and just made me feel cross.

FreeNiki Wed 08-Mar-17 21:21:51

Oh and it's interesting to learn about MACUSA as opposed to The Ministry of Magic etc.

WeMustGetOffTheMountain Wed 08-Mar-17 21:23:09

Massive Potter head here. I enjoyed the film. It's not on par with the Potter films, but it's definitely worth a watch.

ItchyFoot Wed 08-Mar-17 21:23:55

I'm an avid rabid HP fan and I loved it. Went to see it with my equally HP loving sisters and one loved it and the other thought it was meh. Go figure.

babyunicornvomit Wed 08-Mar-17 21:25:23

I liked it - 7/10.
Family LOVED it. my parents liked it better than Harry Potter and we are all big fans in our family x

ItsReginaPhalange Wed 08-Mar-17 21:29:48

I liked it and have never seen HP.

I'm a massive fan of the HP books, and I like the earlier films and love the last few. I really liked Fantastic Beasts, enough to have the blu-ray on preorder and despite getting narked by Eddie Redmayne's bloody mumbling. Speak up and enunciate for the love of all things holy. I'm looking forward to subtitles.

I liked it but have never seen HP and have only read the first one.

I took my youngest to see it, DS aged 9. He absolutely loved it, has become a tad obsessed with newt and was desperate for a suitcase. I managed to get him one. I thought it was great. I loved the whole look and feel of the film. It's quite bonkers.

stripeyreds0cks Wed 08-Mar-17 22:25:18

PerspicaciaTick Wed 08-Mar-17 22:38:50

I really enjoyed it. Especially David Archer appearing for about 30 seconds early on (mahoosive Archers fan).

reallyanotherone Wed 08-Mar-17 22:40:31

We all enjoyed it and will be getting the dvd.

Agree about redmayne and his funny mouth thing though. Annoying.
