It opens 27 jan I think, so probably the week before. I'm also really looking forward to it.

I'm can't wait to see this. Love the film and the book (and the sequel/related books and film). I was too young to see the original in the cinema so I can't wait grin

Fairylea Fri 30-Dec-16 14:32:38

Absolutely cannot wait for this smile

NoTractorsAtTheTable Fri 30-Dec-16 14:40:37

I'm looking forward to it too - I got all excited when I could buy tickets online for the 17th, until I realised it was the first film being re-released for that night! grin

I'm looking forward to this one too. I hope its not a let down after the first film.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen Fri 30-Dec-16 16:33:25

I can't wait either!

Chipsandonionrings Fri 30-Dec-16 16:37:14

Watched the original last night in preparation, can't wait. I had forgotten just how good and bleak it was.

NoTractorsAtTheTable Fri 30-Dec-16 16:54:55

Appropriate graffiti in Leith (courtesy of Reddit) grin

Some of the scenes were filmed in my workplace - my actual desk is in the film apparently!

Preens!

I can't wait to see it! The original was if my generation, guys in my friendship group all had nicknames of the characters etc even just looking at the adverts / posters for it stirs up real emotions!

I can't wait for this film, I am driving my DH mad about it, we are going for my birthday. grin

I don't think there's any need for a second film. I doubt if any of them would still be alive.

Piffpaffpoff Fri 13-Jan-17 20:03:06

I can't wait for it! So many parts of the original have become in jokes between me and DH. In my old flat I had a Begbie Cupboard, because he jumped out of a similarly located one (high up) in the first film. Many houses later, DH and I still call any high cupboard the Begbie Cupboard. If the dcs are a bit over-excited andaretalkingreallyfastandcantstop, we refer to them as having gone a bit Spud. And occasionally if something has broken mysteriously, I have been known to declare 'right, some c*nt did that and no c*nt leaves til we find out which c*nt did it'. I am irrationally fond of Begbie.

DH and I went to see Irvine Welsh and Robert Carlyle do a reading and Q&A in Edinburgh last year, it was so good, if a bit 'luvvie'!

I loved the original but not sure I like the sound of this one as they all get involved in the pork industry

KinkyAfro Sat 14-Jan-17 21:30:34

Ha, porn not pork

AgentProvocateur Sat 14-Jan-17 22:14:11

Pork industry!! gringringrin
