Who's seen it?
I went this evening and really enjoyed it. Laughed out loud, thought soundtrack was excellent too.
So, who would you do? Mark or Jack?

Just got back, can't remember the last time I laughed so much at a film. Mark.

Edge of Reason was on telly couple of days ago. So funny!
Lived in London in the 90s, feel like Bridget is a part of me...
Looking forward to new movie. Going with Mum next week.

Whoknows yes, Mark for me too. But I wouldn't say a definite No to Jack...

Really looking forward to seeing this - just a bit worried that Renee's had a little bit too much something done and Bridget isn't going to look like Bridget. Tell me it's all OK??

Brilliant film, I laughed lots! As did most of the cinema.

I'd definitely rather have jack, any day!

Was such a fun film. Lovely to see all the familiar faces.
Really nice to have the men besotted with a woman over 40 too.

Jay - I agree. Great to see the ''older' women shagging like crazy too!

I'm planning to see it,is this the 3rd film? I read the book and when I saw the trailer it looked like a completely different storyConfused

allnewredfairy · 17/09/2016 23:24

It is a completely different story and covers the period before the book starts.
I enjoyed the film but was a bit Hmm about Renee's face. It distracted me from the film if I'm honest.
I think I'm getting prudish in my old old age as I was a bit cat's bum over the casual sex then disappointed by Bridget's handling of the 'paternity situation' ( sorry, don't want to give any storyline away)
I did enjoy it but still prefer the original more.

I know what you mean about her face - but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I think it was more of a shock to see how much they have all aged since the 1st one - although it was, what, 15 years ago, so quite why I should be shocked I don't know. Probably because I'm of similar ages to so many of the cast and can't believe how much other people have aged! HmmGrin

We watched BJ Diary with DD1 in preparation. Tomorrow night is edge of reason! Is it suitable for a 14ye old?

It's a bit racy in parts - I think it depends on your 14 year old tbh. Lots of references to shagging etc.

LOVED IT! Went with friends to a small independent - curled up on a couch with a bottle of wine and giggled for more or less the whole film!

I'm more Jack than Mark however I wouldn't kick either to the kerb

Saw this last night and loved it. She's still Bridget to me and as for the casual sex, do think it's fairly representational for a early 40's singleton :)
