Sing Street
(8 Posts)
Went to see this today. If you're an 80s kid and remember when everything stopped at 7pm on Thursday for TOTP, you can sing along to Duran Duran and The Cure and realise stone-washed Denim was never cool - even first time around - you should enjoy this sweet, low-budget film. Really recommend it.
I've never heard of this but based on your recommendation I think I might just go & see it
Just watched this film on Netflix. It's a gentle, coming-of-age film with some good acting from the young cast. if you were a teen in the 80s you will identify with the era this film was set in, which I thought was portrayed well.
It's fabulous, isn't it?
I love this film. Very nostalgic, funny and sweet , the new songs are really catchy as the 80s stuff. Also if you like this film, the directors John Carneys previous film Begin Again has the same charm.
I loved this film. I was a teenager in Dublin in the 80s so it's so nostalgia for me.
The music is great both the 80s music and the original stuff.
I've just watched this on Netflix. It's very funny and sweet. I loved the scene where the two brothers are running down the stairs to watch TOTP!
Saw it at the pictures when it was out and have watched it a few times since, love it!
