Hi there

Sorry to ask but I'm in my final year of university writing my dissertation and I need to get parents points of view on whether they feel the TV watershed (no rude content before 9pm) should still be in place and if you think OfCom should censor any TV comedy.

Any help or posts would be highly appreciated - thank you so much

Steve

I do think there should be a rating scheme, the watershed should stand because there is no such thing as brain bleach and children have a whole life time in which to choose what to put in their own heads.

I don't believe in censorship , but I do think that violence, sex and nasty ideas should not be available to children from TV, and anything we can do to help prevent it is worth doing.

Have you read the ofcom rules on radio . No rude content doing the school run . Or weekends or school holidays. There 1000s radio station now but they can't play rude song at all during these times . Censorship is alive and well in 21st century.
The water shed is there.
but if your kids watch YouTube they can watch anything and I mean anythi g porn pop all over you tube .
So I think censors ship a live and we'll in 21 century but you and kids can see anything they want at what ever time.
