The BAFTAs: it's the British Academy Film Awards on Sunday 8th February 2015

Are the BAFTAs a must-see event on your calendar? Do you love the glitz and glamour and possible tripping up of a sleb or two? Got strong feelings about who should win Best Actor? Then you've come to the right place to talk all things BAFTA.

BBC1 is screening the ceremony live on Sunday night at 9pm and Red Carpet shenanigans start at 8.30pm on BBC3 .

I can't wait. I love the programme, it is so entertaining and funny, especially if it's stephen fry hosting. I haven't even thought about the nominations, just looking forward to some good TV

Nominees are here: awards.bafta.org/award/2015/film

Theory of Everything stands a good chance, going by its reception.

Looking forward to it.

I don't like Stephen Fry. Too arch and not as funny, witty or clever as he thinks he is.

Like looking at the dresses though.

I don't get time to watch films these days. love the red carpet though.

yes love it all, especially the Americans faces when they don't get SF's jokes, or they do but the crudity shocks them!!

I don't like Stephen Fry on much other than this (Jeeves?) but he's FAR better than Jonathan Ross.
The theory of Everything is my favourite out of the films with lots of nominations. I couldn't sit through more than 10 minutes of The Grand Budapest Hotel, enjoyed Gone Girl but had read the book so no surprises and I fell asleep!

I love an awards show

Where can we watch the oscars?

There's a lovely little film with Olivia Coleman that should win the short films

Tbf Olivia Coleman should win all the awards.

I've given up on watching the Oscars. It's too long and at the wrong time, highlights only for me, if that. Once you've heard the results on the radio in the morning it's hardly worth bothering

Yes, I always watch it, and I'm in the States. I have a reminder set for BBC America to watch it Sunday. It's always far more entertaining than the Oscars.

I'm torn between hoping Eddie Redmayne gets Best Chap for History of Everything & wanting Benedict C to get it for The Imitation Game

I used to love award shows - once stayed up all night with friends, watching the Oscars (but then it was also my birthday and we did have a bit to drink...)

Can't be doing with them now. Love to hear about the winners and losers the next day but really can't sit through a whole show. I suppose it's different if you're involved, though...

Timer is set and I'm looking forward to it.
Agree with poster who said Olivia Coleman to win everything!
Think Benedict is in with a good chance and glad I've actually seen most of the films for a change!
