The Shooting party. As the closing credits roll and the names of the men and the WW1 battles in which they will die are listed.

(god- that's a bit of a spoiler for anyone who hasn't seen it, isn't it?)

Truly Madly Deeply does it for me. The first time i saw it was a Sunday night and I looked a right state going to meet customers the following morning. Luckily most were women and I just admitted what the reason was when they gave me funny looks (If I cry before sleeping I get real tomato red swollen eyes in the morning!)

the scene at Heathrow where there are people hugging/crying/saying hello and goodbye etc

WideWebWitch Sat 27-May-06 21:37:25

I couldn't STAND Love, Actually but cried during it when the Emma Thompson character finds out abotu her husband's affair and sobs in the bedroom. I was 9 months+ pregnant when I saw it though!

teabags Sat 27-May-06 21:38:56

I had just said goodbye to my family so I have a good excuse too!

I have to say I've never seen TMD because just reading the storyline has convinced me I would be a blubbering wreck within seconds.

Also What's Eating Gilbert Grape - I blubbed at that

years ago I went to the London Film Festival and saw a film from Bosnia re the recent events. A fair few of the audience were crying from the opening credits onwards. That made me cry even thugh I didn't inderstand

FrannyandZooey Sat 27-May-06 21:44:37

Oh god and Bowling for Columbine had me blubbing in the cinema
