Fans of John Hughes and coming-of-age dramas

Go and see The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, with your older teenager if you've got one. It's really touching and so beautifully-acted. It reminded me of those Breakast Club-type movies, but a bit darker. If you've ever seen Ordinary People too, it has echoes of that. I saw it last night with dd1(16) and we both loved it. Funny moments and a few tears- I thought it was fabulous. Emma Watson was really good in it- I didn't see Hermione at all.
