A higher dosage of medication?

I only started sertrline on Monday, all side effects have died down now but I don't feel any different, I still feel anxious and constantly have the tight feeling in my chest (the anxirty - not aheart problems, lol)

I had one of my 'stressful' situations today and didn't feel they helped at all, and haven't made any difference through the week.

Though I did feel 'happier' the first few days but its leveled off now and I'm back to square one but taking pills that don't seem to do much.

Is it too soon to go back to the GP and ask for a higher dsage?

My mums friend takes it too, she said she started out on the same dosage as me but the doubled it twice for it to have an effect and now she feels alot better.

It needs a least a month to kick in properly, DH upped his dose recently and even that took a month to work.
What dose are you on?

crikey you've not even been on it a week yet, you need to give it a bit longer my friend.

Frustrating but true, 2 weeks minimum to get some effects, full effects by 6 weeks.

Stick with it, it's good the side effects have eased.

50mg, sorry, I guess I was hoping for something to help me quicker.

The GP wanted to see me next monday (2 weeks of taking) to see how I am.
