I just knew i'd end up posting here over the hols, didn't think it would be quite so early on though.

Just feeling so crap right now, I wanna run off and never come back.

Have moaned at the kids today for anything and everything, the weather is crap, dp gets paid tommorow and seems to think that is a good thing, i think it just means yet more juggling for me, my mom has linked up with her ex and seems to have forgotten we exist, i can't find a job despite scouring job centre and several websites daily, have been emailing a friend back and forth and think it is doing me more harm than good.....the list goes on but i don't wanna bore anyone.

Just wanted to rant a bit really.

It's so much better if you can get out of the house, nutty. Even if it's raining - put their wellies on and go and splash in some puddles. I was screaming at mine by 9.30 this morning (see my Summer hols stress thread) yet yesterday we had a really good day and the main difference is that we went out (only to the park and a walk along the canal - nothing very exciting or expensive).

But rant away if it helps.

I know your right MM but I never feel I can cope with them all out on my own.

We have a play area at the end of the road but in the hols it turns into a no go zone with all the yobs hanging around in it.

Dd's friends mum said to me yesterday 'enjoy it, their only young for a while'.

To be quite honest I wanted to slap her. I know they are only young for a while but I just feel like every day gets worse and worse in the hols, i end up feeling more and more guilty and like they hate me.

Have scoured the net today for free or extrmemly cheap places to take them but I only found 1 place and that would take us half the day to get there.

I really want to learn to drive so that next years hols won't be this bad, but I can't find a job to be able to afford the lessons. It just feels like a vicious circle.

You are down aren't you? I do know what you mean about the yob element in the park - we went really early yesterday (we were there for 9.30, most of the yobs aren't up then).

Museums? Library? I can see that 3 are much harder to manage than two (my ds1 is old enough now that I only have to really keep a close eye on ds2 in the park).

Do you have a nearby friend with kids you can join forces with?

I do have a couple of friends with kids but because they can drive they tend to go off out and about.

Dd2 stayed at a friends the other day/night and I coped fine with just two, even though we stayed in, there was no shouting or anything.

We are going to go to the library as i have to take books back.

Have to wait in tommorow for slide to be delivered.

Yep hopefully.

Need to remember to get chalks next time i'm out too, cos they will spend ages drawing on the patio if they can.

Mine like doing that too.

just go for a drive in the car. sometimes that helps and if they are young enough they fall asleep!!!
I stress out too but try and keep positive. My dd sulks if she doesnt get her own way and I end up screaming at her
Try and give them all a little task to do and a small reward for doing it.
plan a picnic...even in the garden is fun. Try meet up with some of your friends, maybe even a child free one that can help while you are out!!!

If you want to join forces sometime with someone without a car, you're welcome to join dd and me sometime on the train into Birmingham, or just for a coffee in Sutton if it would help.

"Bugger off, WWB" is an equally acceptable answer to that as well ...
