getting more support as a carer?

had quite a rough night with my 17yo, at today's appointment want to find out about getting more support as it's too much for one person at times - but what is really on offer, if anything? the last hospital she was in had a really good support group for parents, it was a lifesaver. feel like I'd benefit from something like that again, but don't have time or energy at present to set one up so am wondering where other 'carers' turn for support - there is only so much leaning on friends I want to do before they all die of compassion fatigue

try www.youngminds.org.uk/ YoungMinds provides a telephone helpline service to parents with a concern about their child's emotional problems or behaviour. If you're a worried parent, call us at the YoungMinds Parents Helpline on 0808 802 5544. Our opening hours are 9.30am-4pm Monday to Friday . Calls from landlines and mobiles are free. Find out how the service works.
