Snowkitten, I am truly sorry to hear this.

When you feel ready, there are quite a few of us on here in the same situation. If you need advice, support or just a virtual shoulder to cry one, just say. You are not alone.

thank you for your responses. I feel devastated. I am stunned. he fell down the stairs, sustained a head injury that caused a slow bleed into the brain. if he had not been so ill with alcoholism he would have survived. it is a long story but that is all I ahve hte energy for.

sk ,how old was he

Report
snowkitten · 03/04/2010 20:32

the youngest is only 3 so he is not really aware. dd 12 is more aware and has kept herself busy seeing friends. She is bewildered. Things have been so hard for her recenlty. She will need lots of tlc and gently handling. I am working hard on not making her feel guilty as she and dh had some run ins. She loved him dearly - he was her Daddy

oh im so sorry my sister ex bf went the same way too hes was same age as your dh ,of course dd loves daddy very much x

Report
CarGirl · 03/04/2010 20:38

It is a huge shock for all of you despite the recent months, it is no surprise that you are devastated. Your poor dd, remember that she is old enough to understand that her daddy wasn't really very well when she had the run ins.
