Anyone up? DH should have been home two hours ago, mob turned off, I'm panicking

He phoned me earlier to check if it was ok for him to go out for a drink. He knows I've been ill the last two weeks and have been feeling very fragile. He said he'd be home around 9.30 ish but it's quarter to midnight now and his phone is switched off. He NEVER switches his phone off and he's the most reliable person in the world.

I'm panicking like mad, adrenaline rushing through my body. Please someone say something to help me calm myself.

Not sure what I can say, but don't worry, he's probably got chatting and lost track of time.

Do you know where he went?

Could his battery have gone flat? If you know who's he's gone with could you maybe ring them or another wife just to check.

He's gone out with his friend from work. Don't have his number.

His phone won't have run out of charge I don't think. I hope he hasn't just lost track of time. He knows what a fragile state I'm in.

sabire I'm sorry but I have to go (4mth old DS yelling for feed). I am thinking of you and I hope DH comes home soon. I'm sure he will and there will be a perfectly reasonable explanation (his phone could easily have run out of charge - happens to my DH all the time). DS in overload now, have to go. sorry

Was he driving or relying on public transport. Could he have missed the train or something?
Try and stay calm, you know what men are like when you let them off the leash , I bet he's lost track of time.

Yeap another one to say I bet he has lost track of time and his battery has run out,

and he'll probably panic when he sees his phone is dead as he'll know you are worrying

Thanks to those of you who responded last night.

I finally got hold of DH at 12.30. He'd been in an underground bar - no signal on his phone. He'd not realised - just assumed that I'd gone to bed, so didn't phone me.



I feel like a plonker now.

I was so relieved when I got hold of him that I was all smiles when he got home.

Glad everything was alright,
I remember I went to a friends house for a girly might told dh that I would definitely be home before 12 as I was quite tired,
I didn't get home to 3 in the morning, we completely lost track of time, and when I realised I wanted to text him I had left my phone at home

Hi, glad it turned out all right in the end. Men (and plumbummum ) do have this habit of not realising what the time is and losing track (lucky buggers!)
