I can't have it at home, I have a mother who snoops
I want it to be anonymous
but there are things that I am feeling about life that I feel that I should release.

It helps me to formulate my thoughts when writing them down.
I also think it will help me to look back and see the journey that I have taken - so when I am having a bad day I can see that it isn't bad in comparison to how things were last week/month etc

any ideas?

anyone got any ideas?

I don't think a blog is the right thing
just don't know what options there are

How about a password protected word document? It is very easy to set up.

Righto, I'm going to have to try and do this from memory because I don't have microsoft word here on my mac, but it is something I do frequently at work.

I think that you go into file, save as, then click on properties or something like that then follow the prompts.

It might be worth starting a specific thread somewhere else on the board asking how to do it because I can only vaguely remember.

Sorry!

Personally I would stick to writing manually (or typing, printing & deleting)
If people want to snoop in your stuff that badly that kind of file would be quite vulnerable

oooh I wonder if you could get something to encrypt your documents, that might be better

I am already having to hide so much stuff that I just thought that something online wouldn't necessarily be traceable back to me. (by snoopers!)

is there a diary thing on a hotmail account?
that would n't be tied to this computer would it?

It wouldn't, as long as you make sure you don't sign in automatically, or your password's not guessable.
How snoopy is your mum?
You could just email your self every day with that day's diary entry. Then create a folder in your inbox to store them all. Call it something like 'Read receipts' or 'Work'

No, I just mean email from your hotmail to your hotmail! That way it never leaves the server!

ooh sorry - thanks for helping

I have made my mum sound bad but she just can't help it.

She is such a big part of the things I need to deal with that she can not see the things I am writing or esle I will not be able to be honest.
