Struggling with anxiety at min, work have referred me to Occy Health for counselling but only 6 sessions.

I'm half way through and have challenging few weeks ahead as well as covid escalating all around me. I can't see me being better in 3 weeks time.

I don't want meds yet, where do I turn to for help next. I asked Gp for blood test as I suspect its hormone related but he just dismissed me!

Is there any possibility of the sessions being extended? 6 really isn’t enough as takes time to build a relationship and to open up.
Otherwise there’s talking therapy which you can self refer to. Did you discuss counselling with your GP? Is there a different gp you could see rather than the one who was less than understanding?
