I seem to be crying or feel the need to cry most days.

I am worried that this may mean I am going to be more likely to develop PND. Anybody know if this has an effect etc.

I dont know anything about PND, so cant answer your question. Im slightly behide you in weeks, but wanted you to know its not just you. I get days that i feel like crying for no reason. Its all those hormones, lack of sleep, engry levels low, your growing a human remember.

Hugs for you

If you are feeling this way go talk to your mw or doctor, but I think it is just probably because you are becoming overwhelmed with the thought of being a mother and all it entails. You have an awful lot of hormones going mad in your body, they have a lot to answer for. I wouldn't say that this means you are going to get PND. Just make sure you talk to the people who can help you though, please don't bottle it up inside.

Try not to worry about PND too much, you are probably just exhausted and fed up - it is a long time to wait, and by the end we have all had enough usually.
Get as much rest as you can, pamper yourself as much as possible, and let it out,if you need to... hormones are crazy things.

xxx (I will need same advice in 5 weeks time)

good luck with it all.

Try and keep yourself in a positive frame of mind about the PND - I know that sounds daft. But don't get into the self fulfilling prophecy thing, just because you feel depressed now you're not necessarily going to get PND. You might feel depressed, but you may not have depression. Do you feel attached to your baby, or are you getting like you don't want to be pregnant? Are ou looking forward to having your baby?

I'm 28 weeks and also crying most days. I'm scared of how I'm going to cope with two. Is this your first? Having a baby is bloody scary and combined with hormones (which I have to keep reminding myself about) it can make you feel a bit of a mess. Can you write down what you cry about, or is it just random tears?
