Been prescribed Imipramine - any experiences?

I'm a bit of a lurker on here, but have found the courage from somewhere to post tonight.

Have been on 30mg Citalopram for 4 months and seen no improvement (worse in fact) so my CPN refered my to the hospital, who today have put me on 150mg Imipramine and told me to 'get myself out there' at toddler groups etc If only it were that easy.

I was reluctant to take AD's initially as i bf exclusively for 6 months (and still do once a day) but the world just looked so bleak that i thought i'd give them a chance. Am feeling a bit fed up with not seeing any improvement on the Citalopram, so just wanted to see what experiences people had of Imipramine before i start to take it.

I can't seem to find much info about it, apart from the fact its got a long list of side-effects, which i was also warned about at the hospital. That in itself makes me nervous, as i didn't have any with the Citalopram.

I'm currently reducing my dosage and am due to start on my Imipramine on monday so even one reply before then would be a massive help.
