Just that really. I'm going down hill and fast. The last week I've seen a huge slump in my mood, motivation and an increase in my anxiety and anger. I've never used a light box but get SAD to various degrees every year. This year's seems sooner than others.

Come and see us on this thread

Lots of chat about Vitamin D, lightboxes and clocks. You're not alone, lots of us find the time between the clocks going back and hte shortest day to be very difficult.

Watching with imterest.
Every year I do this and every year I don’t get round to doing anything about it.

I have a BriteBox that I need to get out as the darkness really does get me down. I got it fairly cheap from eBay and it really does make a difference. It's fairly heavy but I don't really need it to be portable so it's not a problem.

Think about where you'll be using it before you buy one - I have a Lumie Brightspark for home which is great but not at all portable, so I also have a Lumie Zest which is smaller & easy to take to work or if I'm going away.

Thanks poppy. I'm finding this year really tricky already. Flipping anxiety pangs, foggy head and no motivation have started already. I usually get through till mid December before craving light. Today I've got lights on and it's still not enough. Supermarkets are usually my saviour due to high level lighting and open spaces.

If you go to Wilkos you will find some really good, inexpensive, daylight temperature light bulbs for around the house that help. Make sure you buy the right ones,,check the box labelling..
