Have been managing concerns about DD and low level depression for 4 years. Today she has not handed in work for a college deadline and this for me has brought her poor MH to a head. I am now officially very worried.

Feel very caught. Have backed off for an extended time. Have offered support, Have put in boundaries.

She is becoming more withdrawn. She does try to speak to me but says I don't understand and I get it wrong every time. Have offered that she sees a professional but she didn't get on, offered another choice. I am seeing a professional for help.

Not sure what DD is doing to address her problems. So worried.

Can't do right for doing wrong.

Very cathartic writing this. I have surfed my wave of panic.

Just reassuring DD that she is loved and will gently chip away.

All calm

Here is a hand hold. I think in this situation you will always be told you don't understand. Just be there with your love and support.
