Is anxiety and eczema related?

I feel like I'm losing control. DSS is pushing every single button and I'm not dealing with it at all well. I have come out in terrible eczema which I've scratched until I've bled, is this related to anxiety and panic attacks?

It can be stress induced - yes. When my baby had eczema (quite severely) a very good doctor told me not to get stressed about it infront of him as he would pick up on it and it would make it worse. I also noticed it would get worse when he was upset.

Yep. Mine is. It's really hard to listen to the GP say 'try not to worry' or 'avoid stress', too. Got to make time for yourself, do something you enjoy, drink lots of tea, use the steroid cream, try to enjoy having some empty time to rest. The remainder is just waiting it out. It's really hard not to scratch!

Mine is definitely worsened by stress and anxiety. I dont even know what to suggest either other then keep moisturising.

I’ve had eczema since childhood (babyhood really) it definitely gets worse when I’m stressed - I find I don’t get into a really deep sleep when I’m worried and seem to spend all night scratching my arms and legs and rubbing my eyes.
Hydromol helps me to avoid my skin getting so dry it gets itchy, mindfulness meditation helps me to relax a little bit. Hope you find something that helps
