ADs and swirling dark thoughts, anxiety?

Hi everyone,
Have been on ADs for about 6 weeks now, but honestly remember to take them every other day so willing to admit this could be part of the problem.
I'm taking Duloxetine, only a small 30mg dose. On the packaging it says that Duloxetine is supposed to help with both depression and anxiety.

I'm not sure whether to attribute it to the ADs or a coincidence, but I think my mood seems to get darker and my anxiety way higher when I take them.
Especially if I take one at night - the result is insomnia, restlessness, edginess, waking in the early hours and in the morning with swirling dark thoughts of worthlessness, catastrophising.
It's not as bad when I take the tablet in the morning, but I would say I more anxious not less, on edge and worse rather than better.

I'm being assessed for several things incl anxiety, depression, bipolar, aspergers, borderline.
Am due for another assessment next week, so will have an opportunity to discuss this with an NHS psychiatrist then.

Has anyone else tried Duloxetine?
Do you think it is just the way I am missing doses - I have trouble staying on top of this at the moment and am setting an alert on my phone from today.

Hi, I have no experience of AD but if you are feeling worse could you go back and speak to your GP? Im sure they are not meant to make you feel more anxious? Sorry for lack of any practical advice x

Runs I was told they can have these sort of side effects to begin with, and you have to give them time to settle down. So it could be side effects, or the way I've been missing doses, or the ADs themselves

Also re: bipolar, some have said that ADs can make you worse, and that's one of the things I'm being assessed for

So trying to give it time, but interested in others' experiences

You really need to take your medication religiously op, or you will experience side effects. The first couple of months on ADs are tricky as it is. You will start to feel the benefit if you take them correctly. They have made such a big difference to my emotional balance, not jumping for joy but just a bit more like me again. Good luck to you .
