Just about had enough

I a chronic depressive. I have been on cit for about 17 years now on and off. I take the lowest dose I can get away with and have been stable for a long time. But recently life has just got so hard - everything is difficult, everyone I love is having problems, and it just goes on and one, no solutions in sight. I just can't be the backbone of the family anymore. I want to run away but I know that isn't the answer. Where's that magic want when you need it?

Just wanted to vent. There are no answers but to keep on keeping on

Thanks x

I think this is a sign that your dose needs increasing?

I hope you're feeling better soon OP, this will pass, all things do, perhaps try some coping techniques when you feel really low like a list of 3 things every day you are grateful for... might help you see that there are good things in your life too.

It would probably be best to speak to your GP as well if things are getting on top of you... you might need an extra boost.

Sounds like you are very worried for those around you but remember you can't look after everyone else unless you look after you too!

I have been on cit for 10 years on and off and pretty much could have written your post. I wish I had some answers x

Thanks

Just good to be heard.

I have given so much of myself for so long there isn't much left.

I can't say this to anyone else - they all need to be the strong one.
