I feel fine throughout the day, I get on with I have to do, I socialise, I have family and friends that I talk to on a regular basis. However as soon as night falls I feel so alone, I break down and cry every night, I start to convince myself that everything's pointless. Sometimes I don't sleep at all. I don't really know what I'm hoping for posting on here. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar thing I guess and if anyone has any suggestions to help. I just feel so alone.

Loneliness is such a horrible, overwhelming feeling - I find mine comes in waves, and depends on what my mood is as well. And nighttime is always worse for me.

Try to turn on the radio (softly) when you go to bed, and go to bed early. It's easier in the morning, a new day just beginning and all that... maybe also get a penpal. It could be you only talk about superficial things with your friends. Pick one of them and try to open up more, be more personal. Therapy might be good too, but not easy to afford/acces + you must have a good therapist...
