Anxiety: anyone else struggle to "get back down" / physical symptoms

I find that if I get anxious / upset beyond a certain point, especially if am under stress and generally having a bad patch, I find it impossible to feel OK for the whole day. People recommend "taking a break" or ten mins, but it doesn't help.

Anyone else have this?

Yes me too. I find meditation, mindfulness, self hypnosis and exercise helpful. Although I think part of the thing with exercise is its good to have a reason for the pounding heart and shortness of breath lol
